Ministering the deaf community

 

The Homecare team also met Ds Jan Oberhaulzer and his team during the development period. We were involved in their fundraising activities to assist the Worcester deaf community.

 

You actually need to visit the Deaf Family Church in Worcester to understand the circumstances of the congregation.

 

It is costly to teach the gospel. In most cases, the preachers must work with smaller groups when they teach deaf people. The preacher must also travel far distances to reach deaf people across the country.

 

The congregation do not earn large income due to their disabilities. They cannot contribute financially to the preachers.

 

We believe that it is important to help reach the disabled people with the gospel. We therefore included funding preachers as part of our project plan.
