Social workers

Launch competition

We launch the project with two competitions amongst our people who are involved with caretakers and bedridden patients. This include preachers, social workers, physiotherapists and other people we work with to help caretakers. The Homecare team partners with estate agents and financial advisors to act as “Ambassadors” for the Homecare Foundation. The “Ambassadors” are also invited to support the launch competitions.

We divided the competition into two sections. The first part is a Holiday prize and vouchers that 5 friends and their spouses win. The second part is support to tick a “Bucket List Item” to the value of R100 000.

One person stands a chance to win both prizes. You will receive entries for both competitions if you decide to participate in the “Bucket List” competition. The total entries will be used for the lucky draw.

The Launch competition will close on the 30th of June 2018. We will ask an independent audit firm to randomly select one entry. (The more entries the participant has, the better chance of winning this exceptional prizes)

If the winner of the lucky draw didn’t participate in the “Bucket List” competition, another draw will be done until we find the first person who participated in both competitions. That person will then only win Bucket List support, as the Holiday prize will be allotted to the first winner.

Holiday prize

The last month’s investments (May 2018) from the initial 50 food branches will be utilized to reward all our partners their contributions during the set-up period.

To compete each person receives one entry for every R1 spent at the Food store partner. There is no financial contribution that we require from participants. We only ask you to shop with a little bit of inconvenience. You can only buy groceries from our selected business partner.

The R150 000 prize money is structured as follow:

  1. R50 000 grocery vouchers from the Spar or Pick-n-Pay partner.

  2. The winner can choose one of two holiday destinations. R50 000 is earmarked for accommodation. Winner chooses the booking period and the number of guests. Balance will be paid out in cash to winner.

  3. R50 000 will be paid out in cash to the winner for travel costs and spending money.

The winner can choose between the following holiday options:

The winner will be requested to present copies of all the grocery slips he/she listed to participate in the competition. If you lost till slips, you will be disqualified and another participant will be selected.

Our Homecare representatives or the Child Welfare representatives will support the participants. We explain on the next page how people can enter and how the competition will be managed.

Remember, you can win the prize even if you only spend R1 at the Food partner. We will truly appreciate support in this regard. The Homecare Foundation and your local Chile Welfare branch need the gross profit on sales for the interim period to get the network in place.

We will not require anybody to support the food partners after our launch has been completed.

To Summarize:

You only need to spend R1 at our food partner during the entire period until June 2018 to stand a chance to win the exceptional holiday prize… You do not need to make any personal donations. One entry in theory will enable you to win a prize worth R150 000.

We however appreciate as much support as possible to help fund the expenses of the Homecare Foundation. We have to enlarge our phone app development team to implement the software. We are now preparing for stress tests on the phone app and we need an additional 6 months to develop an OTP system that manages funds for caretakers. The software will ensure that caretakers cannot buy alcohol or cigarettes with funds we allocate to them. PLEASE HELP US.

La Bourgogne Wine & Olive farm

R50 000 will be enough to pay for 5 days accommodation for 4 persons, depending on the season. (The balance will be paid out to the winners in cash.)

The Riverside Cottages at La Bourgogne, which date back to 1952, are situated in a serene garden setting on the banks of the river between a pear orchard to the west and oaks and willows to the east. The glow of sunset colours on the Middagkrans Mountains, framed by the trees, is spectacular.

La Bourgogne is situated 5 km outside Franschhoek. Franschhoek is a town in South Africa’s Western Cape with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture. Trails wind through flowers and wildlife at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve to views over Franschhoek Valley. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and neighboring monument honor the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries. Franschhoek Motor Museum displays vintage cars amid mountain farmland.

This is definitely a holiday option that friends will enjoy!
