Launch competition
We launch the project with a competition amongst our contacts. We will motivate them to purchase as much groceries as possible from our Spar business partners.
The last month’s investments (May 2018) from the initial 50 Spar branches will be utilized to reward the contacts for their contributions during the set-up period. We offer a competition to the value of R150 000.
We also ask the property principals to hand out two restaurant vouchers to the staff who purchased the most groceries from our Spar partner. The account managers will focus on these teams, as they are our “Ambassadors”. There are monthly competitions to entice agents to buy from the Spar partner.
The Launch competition will close on the 30th of June 2018. To compete each person receives one entry for every R1 spent at the Spar partner. We will ask an independent audit firm to randomly select one entry. (The more entries the participant has, the better chance of winning this exceptional prize)
The R150 000 prize money is structured as follow:

R50 000 will be credit to the 5 couples so that they can purchase groceries from the Spar partner. Each couple will receive 5 times R 2 000 vouchers. (valid for 12 months).

The winner can choose one of two holiday destinations, and the Foundation will pay the accommodation for 7 days. (Both are valued at R50 000)

The balance (R50 000) will be paid out in cash to the winner for travel costs and spending money to be shared amongst the 5 couples.

La Bourgogne Wine & Olive farm

The Riverside Cottages at La Bourgogne, which date back to 1952, are situated in a serene garden setting on the banks of the river between a pear orchard to the west and oaks and willows to the east. The glow of sunset colours on the Middagkrans Mountains, framed by the trees, is spectacular.
La Bourgogne is situated 5 km outside Franschhoek. Franschhoek is a town in South Africa’s Western Cape with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture. Trails wind through flowers and wildlife at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve to views over Franschhoek Valley. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and neighboring monument honor the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries. Franschhoek Motor Museum displays vintage cars amid mountain farmland.

Zulu Nyala Safari Game Lodge

Zulu Nyala Safari Game Lodge is a Private Game Reserve that provides a unique bush experience in the heart of one of South Africa’s most diverse conservation regions.
The lodge is nestled between the wilderness reserves of Mkuze, Hluhluwe, St Lucia and Sodwana Bay, this lush stretch of paradise is home to a wide variety of game, from the majestic elephant to rhino, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, the secretive leopard and cheetah and the shy Nyala antelope that are endemic to the region.

This competition will help Spar partners that sign up during the early stage of the project. These business owners will gain sales over a longer period, while the companies that we sign up in April 2018 will only have a small window period out of the competition.
We are doing our best to be fair to all the Spar partners. We unfortunately have to visit each Spar partner and negotiate with them to join the project. Everybody will gain enormously after we launched with our media campaigns.
